Jessie Furlow Medical Center Groundbreaking
Gadsden Medical Center To Become
Jessie Furlow Medical Center
Friends, co-workers. community members and community leaders attended a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday November 30th, 2010 as North Florida Medical Centers, Inc. (NFMC) broke ground for the new Jessie Furlow Medical Center in Quincy / Gadsden County Florida. The center has been named after the late Dr. Jessie Furlow who served as the Chief Medical Officer for NFMC as well as a pillar of the Gadsden County Community.
We are thrilled to dedicate and name our new Gadsden Medical Center after the late Dr. Jessie Furlow. The center will serve as a tribute to Dr. Furlow’s legacy.
Each individual who will walk through the doors of the Jessie Furlow Medical Center will share in the on-going living symbol of her service and dedication to Gadsden County. For years to come, many will walk through its doors to receive vital primary care that they might not be able to receive anywhere else. They will look at her photo and read her name knowing that she was a remarkable lady of great integrity and character, whose endeavors enhanced and will continue to enhance the citizens of Gadsden County for many years to come.
A special thank you to West Gadsden High School Color Guard for leading us in honoring our Flag and leading our Pledge of Allegiance.
The community health center will serve as a healthcare home for the entire family with full primary care services, regardless of an individual’s ability to pay.
Construction will commence soon and it is expected that the center will open in November of 2011. An official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at that time.
